This ministry has purpose to create a space where young people can have an encounter with God in liberty and without any religion provoking thereby a renewal across society in social, political and economic areas.
Our mission is to help young people find their identity in Christ, to guide them along the way and help them find the appropriate tools to convey to other youth the message of Jesus Christ. These tools will enable them to navigate life in better ways inside and outside of the church setting.
The youth meets on Saturdays to play sports and share with friends in healthy and safe ways. We also have a Youth Service once a month prepared by the youth.
“And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise, I will come and strike the land with a curse.” (Malachi 4:6)
Letter for Pastors Jaquez
What a joy to have you back in New York! I would like to share something with you that will brighten your day. This weekend was full of victories seeing the youth’s heart of Jesus Christ Lives Ministry.
On Saturday, my wife and I had the privilege of watching the youth performed a special skid to the residents of the Nursing Home. We knew that they will do a great job but we were very impressed with their professionalism.
Usually Saturdays for any young person is a day of hanging out with friends, going to the movies, the mall, etc., but our youth took their time to bring comedy to a large number of elderly people who probably feel abandoned and who no longer know what love is...
It was a big surprise to see a group of kids arrived full of love and charisma ranging between the ages of 12 to 25 years old without expecting anything but a smile. The smiles given by the senior residents were many and they asked us when we could return again to give them a little bit of love. One of the Hispanic residents even said to my wife how proud she was of this youth, especially because the main things people hear on the news are the bad things Hispanics do but instead, these young people brought joy to their hearts. After the comedy skid, the youth was able to shake the resident’s delicate hands and give them a word of love.
As a leader and an adult, I want to let you know how proud I feel of them, I truly have no words to express it. The youth leadership is doing work worthy of admiration and as adults; we should imitate them and leave our comfort zone to bring love to the brokenhearted. Susy and I, have place ourselves at the disposition of the youth leaders to help and support them for the great work they are doing. We can see our kids learning values like giving love which is the main principle in the law of God, besides you are teaching them to be independent, kind and to see their inward values.
A clear example of this is Jason. He is very quiet and shy guy but he stood in the middle of this beautiful audience to do his part. It is beautiful to see that leaders can instill security in their youth.
Well Pastors, I just wanted to share this experience with you. You should know that beautiful things happen in your absence and you can see that the seed that you have sown is bearing the highest quality of fruits. I love you very much, and enjoy the photos. (Go to the youth photos)
